Brief history:
Attends Questfield Primary School, then Intake High School, Bramley, Leeds, where she is one of the 30 pupils selected every year for special training in dance, drama and music. Leaves school at 16, dances in various shows in Blackpool, gets sacked from a pantomine in London, teaches dance around Europe, gives aerobics classes in Chapeltown, Leeds, wins Leeds Weekly News beauty contest, sells advertising space for newspapers, entertains the armed forces in the Gulf, Germany and Northern Ireland and sporadically attends the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Constantly travelling between London and Leeds to attend auditions.
